Version 1.6.0 is currently live, along with early access to the DLC character Keicho Nijimura who will release for everyone else on March 24, 2023.

Keicho Nijimura (虹村形兆, Nijimura Keichō), along with Bad Company, was confirmed for All-Star Battle R as the third playable DLC character on March 3, 2023,[1] and released on March 24, 2023.[2] For Season Pass and Deluxe Edition Holders, he was announced to release on March 22 for an unspecified time zone but was made available on March 21 PST.[4] Like the rest of the DLC characters, he is included inside the game's Season Pass, and therefore also the Digital Deluxe Edition.[1]


For the English versions of the game, Keicho's Stand is localized to be "Worse Company"—a name which has been used since the English dub of the Diamond is Unbreakable anime adaptation and VIZ's English translations of the manga.[5]

Having neither previously appeared in All-Star Battle nor Eyes of Heaven as a playable character, he has an original moveset based on his limited appearance in Diamond is Unbreakable.

Tomoyuki Shimura reprises his role as Keicho's voice actor from the Diamond is Unbreakable anime, with new audio recorded for All-Star Battle R.

Gameplay

Keicho uses the Stand (スタンド, Sutando) Battle Style, fighting foes with Bad Company (バッド・カンパニー, Baddo Konpanī). During a fight, he can use several different attacks of his that were featured in Diamond Is Unbreakable.

Bad Company is always active for Keicho; He can switch Bad Company's forces between Infantry (squads of foot soldiers wielding assault rifles) and Helicopters/Tanks (groups of Apache helicopters and Abrams tanks), altering his available skills.
Maintain Battle Formation

Any skill marked with a star () allows Keicho to expend half a bar of Heart Heat to disconnect from Bad Company's current force and freely act while it continues executing its current skill, not unlike the Stand Rush mechanic for most other Stand Users.
At the moment of activation, Keicho summons his other forces and can immediately begin using their respective attacks and skills, allowing for conjunction attacks involving both Infantry and Helicopter/Tanks attacking at once. This ability cannot be used if both Infantry and Helicopters/Tanks are already active on-screen simultaneously.

Activates under 30% health.
Increases Keicho's attack damage by 5%, as well as the rate at which the Heart Heat Gauge rises, while also decreasing the rate at which the Guard Gauge drops.

If the attack is guarded, the opponent is pushed a significant distance away from Keicho, rendering him safe from retaliation. The distance the soldiers charge and the number of bullets they fire increase in order of ASBL.pngASBM.pngASBH.png, inversely affecting Keicho's recovery speed. (Flash Cancel comboable)

If Flash-Canceled, the attack will continue executing while Keicho can act freely, allowing him to use another Infantry skill in conjunction.

If Flash-Canceled, the attack will continue executing while Keicho can act freely, allowing him to use another Infantry skill in conjunction.

A l-landmine?! [★]

Keicho commands the soldier taking point to deploy a miniature landmine. If the opponent touches the landmine, it detonates to launch them high into the air. The mine also deals immense Guard damage, making it useful when trying to Guardbreak the opponent. The attack button inputted determines how far the point soldier moves before deploying the mine, in order of ASBL.pngASBM.pngASBH.png, inversely affecting Keicho's recovery speed. The landmine will disappear after a set period, and only one may be deployed at a time, automatically disarming the previous if the skill is performed again. (Comboable)

If Flash-Canceled, the attack will continue executing while Keicho can act freely, allowing him to use another Infantry skill in conjunction.

When using the ASBM.png or ASBH.png versions, Keicho becomes invulnerable until the attack is executed, with ASBH.png providing longer invulnerability. However, the skill may no longer be Flash-Canceled or chained into Keicho's HHA.

Keicho commands his helicopters to fire a set of projectile missiles that fly forward at a slight downward angle. The behavior of the missiles is determined by the attack button inputted, inversely affecting Keicho's recovery speed.
  • ASBL.png: The missiles are fired normally in a dense group, staggering the opponent on-hit. (Flash Cancel comboable)
  • ASBM.png: The missiles start slow and quickly accelerate, knocking the opponent off their feet. (Comboable)
  • ASBH.png: The missiles start stationary and accelerate at different speeds so that they connect consecutively, launching the opponent into the air. (Comboable)

If Flash-Canceled, the attack will continue executing while Keicho can act freely, allowing him to use another Helicopter/Tank skill in conjunction.

Expending a stock of Heart Heat, Keicho commands both his Helicopters and Tanks to automatically attack from a stationary position while he himself begins to freely act separate from them, signified by the units taking on a green aura. Helicopters will fire missiles and Tanks will fire artillery rounds, aimed toward the opponent and actively readjusting if they Dodge out of the way; They will do so three times before the attack concludes.

While this skill is executing, Keicho may act and deliver normal attacks, but cannot use other Helicopter/Tank skills nor summon his Infantry. His ASBH.png normal attacks are temporarily changed to be heavy punches delivered by himself. However, if Keicho takes any damage during this period, the skill will be interrupted and instantly cancel.

Keicho pushes the opponent as two Green Beret soldiers descend from ropes onto their face. They then take their knives and stab the opponent in unison to knock them down.

Keicho commands both of his Apache helicopters to let loose a rapid, chaotic onslaught of close-ranged missile fire, rapidly damaging the opponent before blowing them away. Keicho will automatically leave off with Helicopters/Tanks active afterward.
This HHA does not require an initial hit to connect in order to work and will not stop until it finishes or Keicho is interrupted. It also inflicts immense Guard damage, making it useful when trying to Guardbreak the opponent.

Executing his multi-step strategy, Keicho declares that he'll blow the opponent's brains out as his Infantry soldiers take aim and fire a moderate distance forward. If the shots connect, the opponent is forced backwards trying to defend against the bullets, where they step on a deployed landmine that damages and immobilizes them. On cue, the Apache helicopters fly in and fire missiles that disarm the opponent's guard. When the smoke clears, Bad Company's full force, Infantry, Helicopters, and Tanks alike surround the helpless opponent on all sides. Keicho shouts the final order to fire, prompting all units to fire at once and resulting in a gargantuan, fiery explosion as he watches on.

If Keicho misses the initial attack, he reels back in disappointment and says, "Gh... Target missed. (チッ、外したか, Chi, hazushita ka.)"

Due to the availability of certain voice actors, most of these interactions re-use existing dialogue for Keicho's opponents. In this case, only Joseph Joestar, Risotto Nero and Rudol von Stroheim have new dialogue - Joseph because the voice actor returned for his character's "Your next line is..." interaction, Risotto and Stroheim due to the three characters being DLC released close to each other.
