Joseph Joestar

Joseph Joestar (ジョセフ・ジョースター, Josefu Jōsutā) is one of the starring heroes in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Joseph is the main hero of Part II: Battle Tendency, and also plays significant roles in Part III and Part IV. He is the second most reoccurring JoJo character in the series, the first being Jotaro.
Appearance
Battle Tendency
In his younger days, Joseph appeared fairly tall (195 cm/6'5") and sported a muscular build similar to his grandfather, Jonathan. His black hair is often messy and unkept in appearance and has parts of the bangs shooting outward. (In the anime, it's depicted as brown and spiked.) Aside from his clothing, this sporadic hairstyle generally identifies him from his grandfather.
Initially Joseph is seen walking the streets of New York wearing a white collared shirt with tie and suspenders, though switches to tank tops for the continuity of the story. This style of clothing is usually accompanied with a pair of studded gloves and tall boots. Other articles of clothing include a heavy jacket for cold environments, an aviator's hat while riding a motorcycle, a knit cap and breathing mask during Ripple training, and possibly his most recognizable accessory, a striped scarf that he dons during the events in Switzerland.
Stardust Crusaders
In his older age, Joseph is able to retain some of his former muscularity, though suffers from the effects of aging having neglected to maintain proper ripple training throughout the years. He now sports a thick but finely trimmed beard and his hair has bleached out from old age. In the OVA based on Part III he has light blond hair while in the TV anime, his hair is light grey to reflect his age.
During his visit to Japan, he is seen wearing several layers of clothing and a trench coat, but during the journey to Egypt, he wears a hat and sports a yellow shirt and khaki pants, not unlike Indiana Jones' appearance. One of his hands is synthetic, as a result of his fight with Kars.[1]
Daimond is Unbreakable
In Part IV, Joseph is one of the oldest human characters featured, along with Yoshihiro Kira. At the age of 79, his large stature is still apparent, though somewhat restrained from the required use of a cane. He now wears a pair of Pince-Nez spectacles and what appears to be a brimmed spotted hat with flaps. Most of his body is covered in a large trench coat with a collared shirt and tie and a pair of baggy pants underneath.
