Relatives

Boingo is a minor, fictional characters appearing in the Japanese manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, by Hirohiko Araki. He's portrayed as an enemy of the protagonist.

Personality

Boingo, the introverted younger brother, is the user of Thoth, a Stand that takes the form of a fortune-telling comic book.

Synopsis

Oingo attempted to kill Jotaro Kujo twice, first by poisoning his tea and then by making him eat a bomb that resembled an orange, but Polnareff threw the bomb out of the car in the direction of Oingo and it went off.

After Oingo's defeat, Boingo teams up with Hol Horse to avenge his brother (albeit only after Hol Horse had to resort to kidnapping Boingo). Hol Horse's intricate shot guided by Boingo through series of pipes was foiled because Hol Horse's watch was off a couple of minutes when directed to fire at noon, looping around to hit him instead. Afterwards, Boingo contemplates using his powers to better the lives of others, but is bitten by Iggy and becomes even more introverted than before.

Trivia

  • Due to Copyright laws, Boingo was renamed Mondatta in Viz Media's translation.
  • Unlike the main cast's serious battles with rest of the "Egyptian god" stands, their "battles" with Boingo are one-sided on Boingo's part, and they hardly, if ever, notice Boingo's plots against them, "defeating" them only by chance and the mistakes of Boingo's partners.
