Yasuho Hirose (広瀬康穂) is a major protagonist featured in Part VIII: Jojolion.

Appearance/Personality

Yasuho is a shy and curious girl who lives in Morioh. She has long pink hair which she keeps tied in pigtails. She wears a blue shirt, blue walking boots and a purple skirt with flowers. She is also somewhat ditsy, as seen during the encounter with Sasame resulting in whenever Josuke told her to look the other way, she would do so while he beats him up without her looking. After Josuke starts living with the Higashikata family, it's implied she starts developing a crush on him.

Synopsis

Yasuho is first introduced huddled on the ground near the Wall Eyes after coming across the naked body of the Jojolion Protagonist half submerged into the soil. Scared at first, she rushes to help him, but is interrupted by her childhood friend, Joushuu Higashikata. Joshuu misunderstands the situation and starts a fight with the protagonist, resulting with both of them being sent to the hospital.

Later, she visits and brings flowers to Joushuu and the Protagonist. While visiting him, she was surprised by the protagonist's odd behavior and his amnesia, but followed him in his escape to find his true identity when the guard left her post. Following the brand of his hat, Yasuho and him visit the shop and find the name, Yoshikage Kira, and an address. Determined to find out more, both travel to the apartment only to find it empty. However, the protagonist hears a noise and follows it the source, which appeared to be naked woman in the bathtub. When he tells Yasuho of the situation, she shows some suspicion at first, but after looking for herself she feels embarrassed and apologizes, but ends up going back anyways to ask if the naked girl was his girlfriend. The girl doesn't answer and Yasuho searches for other clues, eventually coming across a photo album. After a quick look at it, she starts screaming, panicking, after discovering lewd pictures of the protagonist and bound women. Crying, she tells the Protagonist to stay away and runs out of the apartment. She returns later on after doubting the protagonist's true nature, but is attacked upon entering the room by Sasame Ojirou, a stand user in the room above. The protagonist promptly defeats the stand user and discovers that neither he or Sasame was Yoshikage Kira.

Later, Yasuho, alongside the protagonist, discover the real Yoshikage Kira 's corpse in a body of water near the Wall Eyes. Without any leads, she decides to lodge the protagonist with the Higashikata family until they can find his real identity and gives him the name "Josuke," named after her dog.

After a quick introduction with the family, Yasuho is eventually escorted out of the Higashikata household by the maid and is threatened to never return or meet with Josuke. She returns to her house to find the place in shambles with her mother inebriated on side of the couch with a recognizable mark over her breast. Before leaving home and finding her way back inside the Higashikata manor, she learns that Josuke and Kira's genetic make-up are a 95.8% match before learning that the protagonist is somehow connected to both the Kira and the Higashikata family.

The two eventually discover that Holly Kira, Yoshiakage's mother was a world-renowned opthamologist and was currently being kept in Morioh's hospital as a patient. She makes a call to Josuke and agrees to meet with him at the hospital. Yasuho manages to get into the hospital and speak with Holly, but not before noticing a strange bite mark on her ankle. After being taken away by hospital security for talking to Holy without permission, Holy notices that Yasuho has also developed Stand powers of her own, but she can only use them at a subconscious level. Using the pain from the bite mark before, Yasuho is repermited into the hospital, and discovers more of Holly's condition.

The next day, Josuke calls Yasuho at school, but she doesn't answer as he was using Josuhu's cell phone. She does however notice that he was, at the time, located on Extortion Road and near a landmark statue called the Joestar Jizō. She discovers, with Paisley Park's help, that the jizō was built as a memorial to Johnny Joestar, who died in Morioh from what was ultimately determined to be a freak accident in 1901.

Later that day, Yasuho travels to the Meditation Pine Tree near the Wall Eyes and realizes she can see both the Higashikata mansion and the spring where she previously found Josuke. She finds another article in the newspaper of a small infant that was discovered beneath the pine tree around the same time of Johnny's death. Upon further inspection, Yasuho spots a hole at the base of the pine tree and goes in for a closer look, but is suddenly grabbed by a hand reaching out of it. She is pulled under where a mysterious figure begins to caress her body.

Stand

Yasuho's shadow

Yasuho had a bite mark on her right ankle, the same bite mark that appeared on the Protagonist and Joushuu. This, combined with her phone's precognition of the birthmark bubble, implies that she has become a stand user as well.[2] Yasuho has also gained the ability to see Stands, without having one, but in its early stages, the ability manifests itself with the help of her iPhone, since she saw the Star bubble emerging from Josuke's body with the camera, when to the naked eye, the birthmark did not move.

When Yasuho visits the hospital to find Josuke's mother, the GPS stand appears as Yasuho's phone, enabling her to see Josuke's Soft and Wet in the first chapter and protecting Josuke against the biker stand by giving precise instructions as to its location. So far, Yasuho has only subconsciously activated the stand, and does not know of its effects or even its presence.[3]
