Kishibe Rohan Meets Gucci

Rohan Kishibe Goes to Gucci is an JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Spin-Off manga written and illustrated by Hirohiko Araki for the October 2011 issue of Shueisha‘s women’s fashion magazine Spur. The One-Shot starring Rohan Kishibe as the main protagonist.

Synopsis

Years after his trip to the Louvre in Paris (as chronicled in Araki’s Rohan au Louvre), Rohan heads to Florence, Italy with his grandmother’s keepsake bag in hand. This bag had the stand-like ability to vanish things, similiar to Cream or The Hand. All the objects Rohan put in it dissapear when the bag is closed. For that reason, Rohan visit the Gucci Factory outside of Firenze, hoping to find an answer. Rohan hired a beatiful interpreter for this task. When they talk to the leather goods artisan in charge, Rohan made a brief demostration of the bag's abilities. First with a 50 euro bill (doubting for a moment to put a 100 euro bill instead) and then a 10 euro bill. Both bills dissapeared and the artisan explained that the bag is one of three special bags made by one of Gucci's Genius. As Rohan insist in have the bag fixed, the artisan, ask again if he really wants to "fix" the bag, since Rohan didn't realize the bag's "True Purpose". Rohan ignored that statement and ask the artisan to fix it anyway. Finally, the bag is fixed and Rohan leave. Some time later, the interpreter get Rohan drunk and steal all his valuables except for the bag, leaving the mangaka wandering alone, outside as the rain start falling. However, Rohan found a new Gucci umbrella in the ground and quickly a car stop to help him. When he enter a hotel, the receptionist offer the smallest room at 60 euro the nigth but Rohan had no money, passport or documents. When he was to leave, a man shows interest in his recently found umbrella offering 60 euro. In that moment,Rohan remember the 50 and 10 bills the bag vanished and understand the bag "True purpose".Since he "fix" the bag he understand that was the last "Equivalent Exchange" provided by the bag and lament he didn't put the 100 euro bill in it.

• This work is the second reference to Gucci's brand, the first was the Part VI antagonist Guccio.
