As a serialized manga, the chapters of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and other works are first published in manga magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump and Ultra Jump. Exclusive to the magazine release of chapters are taglines (アオリ, aori) that are written in the beginning and ending of each one to grab the reader's attention. These are short comments that remark on the contents of the chapter and act as teasers for the next one. The taglines are subsequently removed before chapters are compiled into volumes.
