Prior to the anime's release, we had a forum thread about what preferred color scheme we wanted for Anasui in the anime. Since Stone Ocean was already released, we found out that they kept the pink Anasui from the manga (with some slight alterations on his clothes)obviously spawning even more Diavolo-Anasui jokes.

If you were given the chance to turn back time and choose a color scheme for Anasui, what would you have picked? Alternatively, what hair color, other than pink, would you prefer for him?

Personally, I think blonde Anasui would have rocked it as well. The green Anasui from the old games also looked promising but I wasn't sure if it'd look good on anime with the vibrancy toned down.

Let me know your choice!

Blue Anasui is best Anasui

I enjoy Bluesui, but I dislike both official iterations of that idea.

EoH's Bluesui is boring due to it being just blue, darker blue, yellow and white. It lacks androgyny and generally feels bland.

Meanwhile the SAS figurine is interesting at first. It's usage of blue, dark blue, pink, green and gold is simply disgusting. Though anime tends to modify the SAS palettes for the better (like Giorno, Abbacchio and many others), so there would be hope. (No, the SAS palette appearing in anime's Dragon's Dream fight doesn't satisfy me, because it is copy paste and an one-off color swap, while I am looking for proper palettes.)

Ultimately the SAS palette modified for the better would be interesting. I'd really like to see how would it look if it got part 5 anime style color fixes. But sadly, it is part 6 anime, so a chances for interesting stuff are blown.

As I thought about it. Colored Manga Anasui with simply blue hair would look really good.

I forgot to mention why i like Bluesui - The hair would look like water, which fits Diver Down's diver theme.

Back to Shueisha Anasui with blue hair. The purple suit helps keep the bit of androgyny while also look amazing with the blue hair. Bluesui fanart often takes that approach and it is also technically taken with my personal Anasui coloring, where the hair is blue and suit is dark pink.

So. Such a simple change would do A LOT.

The palette used in the anime is one of the few Shueisha holdovers I think is actually pretty good. The pinks, browns, white, and green all go together while also remaining unique. I do like blonde Anasui, but I'm very happy with the colors we got.

Yeah, the palette works wonders and it has grown on me. I adore how anime adjusted it (brown back, purple footprints, gold horns)... But holy hyuck, Diavolo jokes. Holy hyuck, interesting palettes lost and streak of using SAS mostly broken (FF is a dubious example).
