How to make a translated page:

  • Click edit source on the page you want to translate and copy everything
  • Add the language code (see a list of them all here) after the page URL.
    • For example, if you want to translate Jonathan Joestar to French, you would add "/fr" to the end of the URL (Jonathan Joestar/fr).
  • Paste everything
  • Translate to your language
  • Make sure to change the categories at the bottom of the page to your language as well, like Category:Joestar Family should be changed to Category:Joestar Family/fr.
  • Also add {{PAGELANGUAGE:xx}} at the end of pages (replace xx with your language code). For example: {{PAGELANGUAGE:fr}} if you are translating to French.
  • Note: If you are translating a large page and don't have time to translate at least one third or half of it right away, please prepare the translation in a sandbox page (E.g. User:Vish/Sandbox, replace my username with yours) first before making the actual page.

Nope, you could just do parts at a time.

Thank you. I have another question, would you happen to know why most of the intro section for Johnny Joestar (spanish version) just disappears when I paste the code from the english version?

I'm not sure what happened there, but I tried copy and pasting it myself and it works now. It seems the infobox had corrupt spaces in it before.

Hello. I'm Brazilian and I didn't quite understand how to translate a page. I wanted to know if this is how it's done: 1. Copy everything on the page 2. Add language code in URL 3. Create the new page 4. Write everything on the original page in my language

As long as you have Sandbox, yes.
