I got into jojo when I was 10 because I had been playing a jojo game called "Stand upright" but I didn't know it was a jojo game so I was confuzzled. So I met a guy who I would later learn his name was evan, he helped me get the ropes of the game wi "arrow give you stand rokakaka takes away stand type of thing" so then I got a handle on what stands were but I had no Idea who the characters are. Eventually I was able to get his discord and he told me to watch the anime. I used apple tv back then because my dad had that instead of cable and he had netflix. I watched the first three parts and got hooked. After that I was able to identify the part 3 characters but the other characters I didn't know were like hazy. So then for the apple tv I had to get crunchyroll premium to use crunchyroll on apple TV. SO i was able to convince my dad to let me have the free trial and in that space I was able to watch all of DIU and Vento Aureo. The I got into jojo memes, Learned about SBR, Stone Ocean, Jojolion. Once my crunchyroll premium trial ended I haven't been able to rewatch DIU and Vento Aureo. It's Been 4 years since I met Evan and I'm still a big jojo fan. And I still Enjoy Roblox jojo games but I intend to try and get a ps3 emulator because i wanna play EOH with him and he's tryna help me. So tell me, How did you get into jojo? ~Izakune Syr

For me, a friend introduced me. I watched the entire anime (so far), then read all of manga up to the lastest chapter of JoJolion. I've also read most of the light novels (not the TSKR Short Story Collections though, since they haven't been translated yet and I don't understand Japanese).

I got into jojo after randomly finding it on my tv the cover of part 5 looked interesting as hell because the gang were wearing their crazy ass looking clothes. I didn't watch it then though but a few years ago I played a roblox jojo game (at the time I didn't know) so I was really interested when I saw hamon and stands in the game did a bit of research and boom found out it was about jojos so then my interest piqued. I knew I had to go and watch it now so I did a bit of googling the I found the first season (dub) watched and liked it. Couldn't find parts 3 so I did a bit of searching and lets just say where I watched it isn't the best or legal place to watch it but hey I was hooked on the show so watched part 3 initially found it kind of repetitive and a bit of a drag and nearly dropped part 3 but I didn't because the second half of SDC was a improvement so I kept watching loved to see DIO back in action in the final battle. So then, hoped into Part 4 and I loved all of it the themes, characters, plot, etc. It became my favorite part even to this day. Then Part 5 what can I say decent part nonetheless don't have much to say about part 5 since I don't wanna give a review just wanna tell how I found jojo.

Now the manga parts of jojo I was doing a bit of reasarch on jojo because I wanted to see more because I was practically in love with the series at this point the I see characters popping up from jojo that I didn't know at the time like Johnny and Gyro so I was like "Huh?" who are these? I go to Wikipedia and find there are 3 more parts so I search up stone ocean at the time I heard alot of trash talk about it but after reading I can say it definitely an overall great part, at first didn't really like the prison setting made fights feels stale but after a re-read I liked it. Part 7 the part that gets praised as the best written part up to this day I read it and I was a bit disappointed. My feelings were mixed initially it felt overhyped and a bit overrated the first 14 chapters of steel ball run, the sugar mountain arc, and the d4c arc until the end of the part were really the only parts I liked but after a 2nd read definately like more of SBR. Then JoJolion jumped in and once again I heard some not so great things about this part but, what can I say (again) a damn great part felt more bizarre than other parts and the mysteries were great caught up with JJL on chapter 97, I thought it was one of the better parts.

This was too long tbh. :/

I was used to part 1-5 stands but when I watched a video with a title that said somthing like this "What happened to Jojo?" And I remember he said this "Ah what happened How did it go from a Gentleman's tale of love, betrayal and fate to A man with four balls trying to remember who he is." I was so confused because I had no idea about Jojolion or Sbr or Stone Ocean. it took me a couple years to catch up.

I also got into JoJo when I was 10. I saw Jonathan fighting Dio in this one meme, and I thought to myself, “Wow! That looks cool!” I then started to watch Phantom Blood on a regular basis, and got addicted to it. Jojo was the only really interesting this I was watching, and then I also played this one JoJo game on Roblox called Your Bizzare Adventure, & I loved it, super well made. Only problem was the toxic community. Now I know too much and I can’t go an hour without making a jojo reference.

I saw Antfish's abridged series on youtube years ago, which is how I first got into the old OVAs. When All-Star Battle came out, I decided to check out the manga because I thought the characters from other parts looked cool. I also remember seeing a lot of those Soul'd Out MADs at the time. Based off the title I assumed the series was going to be some sort of Indiana Jones clone lol. (I was only half wrong)

For me, I got into Jojo surprisingly because of Netflix. I was dog sitting a few summers ago and had nothing to do so I tried Phantom Blood and was hooked from there. Then I watched the rest of the anime and began reading the manga. (Last summer it was parts 6-8 for me) Fast forward to now where I have an unhealthy addiction to the series and to Medicos figures, and am even toying the idea of writing an academic paper on it for a conference sometime. It's now become my favorite series and I continue to enjoy every bit of it.

While I've been familiar with the JoJo memes before the 2012 anime such as this one and the road roller memes, I didn't really see it anything more than just that. Not until a friend recommended it to me back in 2020 when we were sharing anime recs to each other. I recommended him Fire Force and he recommended me JoJo - the rest is history. I can get into reading manga easily and apparently the buff men in extravagant poses were enough to completely hook me in.

I started watching JJBA once I noticed that DIU seemingly abruptly ended after 39 episodes. I was like "that's not normal" so I checked it out from the first season.

I am now caught up in both anime and manga.

People in the North America, typically from the U.S., are sometime refered to as Westerners.

Also I just finished stone ocean, I got spoiled on what the ending was form My friend Evan so I knew what to expect but damn is it depressing. And i like the note that Emporio is the only living soul who knows about the previous universe. A 11 year old kid knows the single most important information in the universe. Anyway i'm gonna need a minute while beofore my brain stops playing "What a wonderful world" by Louis armstrong.

Ah yes, the way i got into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure...sit down and I'll tell you a story.

my brother tried to spoil Golden Wind when I was 9 but i didn't care because i thought he was talking about something else. then i saw a random meme and was like "hey is this that dreaming blonde my bro told me about" and he was like "yea thats Giorno but you have to start watching from THE BEGINNING" so after googling stuff i was like "screw it let's watch i cant wait for this giorno guy" and at the age of 10 i started watching jojo's. i knew who everyone was bc my brother spoiled it lol!

then i took a break during the time waiting for Stone Ocean because "who is this so-called Hatsune Miku i thought she was a video game character" and that became my 2-year obsession with Vocaloid (though I'm still obsessed with Vocaloid anyway so that never really changed)

and then Stone Ocean got released and I got hyped about Jojo again. Watched it (cried at every death and ending) and then found out "THERE ARE MORE PARTS?" and read the manga too. then I checked out some spinoffs (my favorite was FOR SURE, CDDH, I totally shipped Ryoko and Josuke, though I did also enjoy FBWW- don't ask. Jorge Joestar was so chaotic lol).

then Part 9 released literally not even a week before the time i'm posting this message, and i got so hyped that i did excessive research, joining this website and filling my computer storage with JJBA content (mostly memes).

it got to the point where i even started writing my own JJBA spinoff (about my self-insert OC going to fight DIO with my favorite characters and my friends' ocs) as a script (at the time of this message i'm at the part where they're in the abyss).

(if you wanna know more about my spinoff check out my reply in this thread Ideas for non-canon Spinoffs set in either Jojo universe)

my friends will probably come here soon saying stuff along the lines of "EmeraldDragon6543 is my Jojo-obsessed bestie, I thought I'd heed her advice and check out this awesome show"

When I was 12 I watch meme compilations on YouTube, I watched the "to be continued" ones a lot but didn't realize what it was from, later in life I watched a Jacksepticeye video when I was about 16, it mentioned JoJo, and I was curious, started to watch Phantom Blood, watched three episodes, and realized it wasn't for me, which turned me off from the series for a couple of months, then I got recommended a video which was "part 4 stands sing the songs there named after" really like the character designs, a tried to look for the origin of the characters, only to be brought back to JoJo, trudged through Phantom Blood thinking it would get better in Season 2, then Battle Tendencies came in halfway through that's when I took the plunge and became a true JoJo fan

I got into JoJo by seeing references to it and even a Level Up pixel animation on YouTube. I decided to check it out on Tubi and watched parts 1-3 and a tiny bit of 4. However, we don't have Tubi anymore but I am still a diehard JoJo fan. August would be my 2 year anniversary of getting into JoJo. I still managed to watch the free version parts 4 and 5 on VUDU. Don't worry, it was Japanese VAs with English subs.

I knew JoJo thanks to memes. I remembered the Jotaro vs DIO fight and Yes - Roundabout memes back in 2016, but didn't bother getting into it at that time. It wasn't until half a decade later, in 2021, I started watching JoJo for the first time ever out of boredom, starting from Phantom Blood until Golden Wind (this was before the Stone Ocean anime aired), then continue reading the manga from Stone Ocean until JoJolion (which already completed its serialization). Already watched the Stone Ocean anime in its entirety and now reading JoJoLands.

Dog, I knew about it ever since I was a kid, and I thought it was kind of gay because that's what everyone said, but, ever since a few years ago, I got into Homestuck, and I used to think that was terrible before I even read it, but after I read it, it was pretty ok (don't read it). One of my friends was getting tired of my talking about Homestuck (as he should), and at the time he was watching jjba, and I called him weird for watching a "gay anime" (even though I was reading F-ing Homestuck), and so I realized I needed to be better and fit in with my friends, and so I decided to watch it. Three years later, it became an obsession.
