Preface: I am not Christian. This is just referring to a similarity I found.
I was going over Christian art depicting the resurrection of Jesus, and noticed that several pieces depict Roman guards asleep/unconscious whilst guarding the tomb of Jesus. This was alluded to in the scripture itself [using KJV for this], with Matthew 28:4 (referring to the guards after a 'holy earthquake'):
And for fear of him the keepers
did shake, and became as dead men.
In Matthew 28:13, this is expanded upon:
Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night,
and stole him away while we slept.
It's possible that this could be referenced in JJBA with the 'sleeping' aspect of Chariot Requiem, and/or the idea of Sleeping Slaves. Knowing what would occur in Part 6/7 in regards to Christianity, I believe it's plausible.
I'd like to know what you think of this interpretation, and if there's anything similar to it throughout the series.
